Dozens of people are dead after a bus fell into a ravine on the outskirts of Guatemala City, according to the local fire department.
At least 30 people were killed, according to Reuters, citing a fire department spokesperson. Social media posts from the fire department indicated that more than five people were dead, and four survivors had been found.
Newsweek has contacted the fire department via email for further comment.
The bus plummeted about 20 meters from Puente Belice, a highway bridge spanning a road and creek on a busy route to and from the city, Reuters reported.
