A recent social media post shows the panic among H-1B holders traveling for visa stamping. The Indian worker, who is eligible for an interview waiver, is unsure whether it’s safe to go through Istanbul due to the reported US travel ban.

He wrote, “I am planning to go India for H1b stamping on Mar 21st as I am eligible for Interview Waiver, Dropbox on Mar 24th and returning back to US on April 12th. Is it recommended to travel now, especially from layover at Istanbul, considering travel ban coming in place.”
This kind of confusion is spreading fast as nothing has been made official yet. While people claim Turkey isn’t on any reported ban list, the user is left second-guessing his routes.
