Police have registered a case against the owners of Billion Bees, a company operating from Irinjalakuda, for allegedly collecting a huge amount of money from people with the promise of high returns. The accused, Bibin, a native of Nadavarambu, his wife Jaya, and his brothers Subin and Libin, who allegedly deceived investors, are currently at large.
As many as 32 complaints have been submitted to the Thrissur Rural SP, with the number expected to rise. Several complaints have been filed against the firm, with initial estimates suggesting a fraud of around ₹150 crore. The first case was registered based on a complaint from Ranjith, who invested ₹1.95 crore.
The accused lured investors by offering ₹30,000 in monthly returns for a ₹10 lakh deposit, claiming profits from trading investments. They collected money directly through their bank accounts. According to Ranjith, the accused have fled to Dubai. Further investigation is ongoing.
