SEOUL — South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol was released from prison Saturday evening, as prosecutors decided not to appeal a district court’s order to cancel his arrest.
Yoon walked out of the Seoul Detention Center waving to his supporters, who welcomed him. The impeached president bowed to them several times before getting into a car waiting to take him to his residence in central Seoul.
