COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A new rebate is offering to help residents in Colorado Springs with property tax-related costs, according to the Colorado Department of Revenue.
The Department announced Wednesday it is now accepting Property Tax, Rent (PTC) Rebate applications for 2024 expenses.
The rebate reportedly helps eligible Coloradans offset property tax, rent and heating costs.
Eligible Coloradans include seniors or Coloradans with disabilities with a total income of less than $18,704, or a married couple with a total combined income of less than $25,261.
Eligible applicants can receive up to $1,154 in rebate assistance for 2024 expenses.
Those who apply by Oct. 15 may also qualify for a TABOR refund of up to $177 for single filers and $354 for joint filing, according to the department.
Otherwise, the Department said Coloradans have until Dec. 31, 2026, to apply.
