No one saw it coming.
This week, a violent crime rocked the offices of the Roseville Police Department in California. It was there, at the headquarters of local law enforcement, that a lifeless body was discovered.
The victim? A stuffed animal.
Uncensored photos from the scene capture the carnage — the victim’s fluffy filling strewn throughout the room as an officer begins the investigation.

No one knows for certain if the stuffed animal, a plush monkey doll, knew its attacker. But one thing is clear.
It was shown no mercy.

To date, few further details have been released about this incident, but a hidden clue in one of the crime scene photos may prove instrumental in cracking the case.
As the investigating officer created an outline of the victim, a suspicious character can be seen observing the situation from afar:

It was none other than the police department’s resident Crisis Comfort K9 — a (supposedly) friendly dog named Butter.
Since he joined the force in 2023, Butter’s colleagues say he’s been “an invaluable companion in promoting and enhancing mental health, offering emotional support and comfort to individuals who are experiencing stress, trauma, or a crisis.”
As part of his community outreach, Butter visits schools and hospitals and members of the public, always happy to bring a smile to people’s faces.
But with the investigation now underway, officers are forced to come to terms with a disturbing possibility.

The perpetrator in this case may very well have been one of their own.

“Butter is our #1 suspect at this time, and the motive remains a mystery,” the police department wrote.
The dog remains a good boy, however, until proven otherwise.
