A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged by police in a murder investigation in Glasgow.
The body of James Jarvis, 55, was found at a property in Monar Street in the city’s Possilpark area at 07:20 on Wednesday.
Police Scotland said his car, a black VW Golf, was discovered nearby in Auckland Street.
Officers said it was a “challenging investigation” and appealed to the public to assists their inquiries.
Det Ch Insp Graham McCreadie, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Jarvis’s family at what is a very difficult time and they have asked for their privacy to be respected.”
An online portal was set up where members of the public can submit information directly to Police Scotland.
The 38-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
