US stock futures dropped on Monday as investors prepared for a busy week of earnings reports from major companies.
Four of the seven firms in the “Magnificent 7” are set to release quarterly results, including Tesla, Meta Platforms, and Microsoft on Wednesday, followed by Apple on Thursday.
These reports are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the AI-driven bull market.
Investors are also keeping an eye on earnings from other major companies like Exxon Mobil, Boeing, and Starbucks.
On the economic front, the Federal Reserve will meet on Wednesday to discuss monetary policy, with most expecting the central bank to keep interest rates unchanged.
Additionally, the PCE price index—the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge—will be released on Friday.
Last week, the major indices posted solid gains, with the Dow climbing 2.15%, the S&P 500 rising 1.74%, and the Nasdaq Composite adding 1.65%.
